Lay awake, I'm robbed of sleep
I hear the raindrops tap the street
Forgetting all I've fallen for, I can't go on
I can't be more
Hidden behind tapestries
Adorned with painful memories
Slowly realize what you've done, I've lost it all
I've come undone
A fallen angel at your feet
A broken mess at your mercy
Heartless in my time of need, you walked away
You watched me bleed
Holding out for fate unknown
A missing piece, an empty home
Living life with no one there, I know I'm lost
But I don't care
Within the boundaries of myself
Crying out for someone's help
Wishing for, with all my heart
They'll stop the pain and light the dark

I take her hand and grip it tight
We'll last forever in the light…

Sometimes, I wish I could forget.
Forget about how we would sit up in your bedroom and giggle in hushed voices,
Or forget how when you'd come over to my house we'd share secrets and wishes.
I wish I could forget how you'd tell me that I was beautiful, when really the beauty was always in you.

Forget about all of our inside jokes, and how we spoke.
Or forget how I told you all my secrets and let you see everything in me.

Wishes in the Well
I laugh at the unforgiving irony,
A drop of water to desert's core.
Cunning taunts and hisses mock me,
Another child of Murder is born.
No creature would be left unfazed,
To the scent of rose and gentle touch.
Blind to the face that honey glazed,
A piece of meat to the hunter's lunch.
Piercing gazes thrown my way,
Welcoming that all too familiar doubt.
So soon Fate has come to play,
Enjoyed by twisting my mind about.
I drown in sand like a fool,
Visioning what's to be so vividly.
Without shame, please don't be cruel,
See I'm not built an oak but a lily.
Like a pen's ink was meant to flow,
I kiss the metal of this coin so cold.

maybe not.
because i will never be the fire-hearted girl with remedial stardust lips,
dancing with the astral wolves that hunt beneath her moon-kissed skin,
with the courage to plant wilting lilacs into every crippled soul she finds.
but what if they were?
then i would be the ink blots coating the archives of humankind,
the fractured jewel tucked away in a catastrophic dragon's chest,
and the lyric every mismatched bone engraves into their marrow.

You are a beautiful writer, and poet. I've been reading through your works, and it's just some of the most beautiful literature I have ever had the privilege to read. You don't just print words on paper, you paint a portrait. I'm trying desperately to find the right words to express how much I loved this, and your other works, but I don't think that there are words strong enough in the English language. Yet somehow, you seem to be able to find words strong enough to express emotions such as love, and sadness, and hope. Which so many, myself included, will probably never be able to accomplish. So, enough prattling on. I just wanted to tell you that you're, well, awesome.......
