It's Okay To Be Okay Maybe it's because nobody told me it was okay, to be alone, to be just me. Maybe it's because I never stopped hurting, and I never got the chance to go numb. Maybe it's because I don't have a friend or a hand to hold out here in the middle of falling down. Maybe that is what this life is for, to sit here with my broken heart and just watch it go by. Maybe that is why I'm slowly going crazy and why my head is filled with all these pointless maybe's.

Shade of lifeless grey

The colors themselves though they may try to disguise,
form a beautiful picture from the rainbow inside.
Although the colors confuse and the shades run and hide,
I'll show you each shade and I'll stay your guide.

It sounds like a melody the pen on paper,
I'll be quick to step in should your hands ever waver.
At times it's a whisper gently coaching each color,
but together were something each color a wonder.

Color, tastes like skittles,
it's not the shade outside,
but the flavor in the middle

The shades feel like petals between calloused fingers,
Soft and velvety as rough hands guide their shapes.

For now I know, this elder exodus is nowhere near truth (it'll never be).

Did you know that feeling lonely and content at the same time is a rare kind of happiness?

Lay awake, I'm robbed of sleep
I hear the raindrops tap the street
Forgetting all I've fallen for, I can't go on
I can't be more

Hidden behind tapestries
Adorned with painful memories
Slowly realize what you've done, I've lost it all
I've come undone

A fallen angel at your feet
A broken mess at your mercy
Heartless in my time of need, you walked away
You watched me bleed

Holding out for fate unknown
A missing piece, an empty home
Living life with no one there, I know I'm lost
But I don't care

Within the boundaries of myself
Crying out for someone's help
Wishing for, with all my heart
They'll stop the pain and light the dark
